The Benefits of Science Month

As we celebrate the 2025 National Science Month, we are reminded of science's limitless potential to shape a future defined not by fear of uncertainty, but by courage and innovation. This month is a powerful call to action an encouragement to embrace what we do not yet understand, and to transform our environment, technologies, and knowledge that can help the world. It’s a tribute to the scientists, inventors, engineers, and thinkers who push the boundaries of what is known.

The relationship between science and society is growing deeper and more connected with every passing year. Scientific discoveries no longer remain confined to laboratories they now directly influence policies, social structures, economic systems, and daily life. In the coming decades, science will be essential in addressing climate change, global health crises, food security, and the use of AI.

Science Month 2025 encourages us not only to celebrate past achievements but also to prepare for the challenges ahead. By fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and innovation, we can power the future through science that is both responsible and revolutionary.

Weathering the Storm: How Climate Change is Reshaping Filipino Lives

Climate change is no longer a little problem is a daily threat for millions of Filipinos. From strong typhoons and rising sea levels, the environment is changing in ways that directly affect many people and animals, economy, and public health. One of the main reasons for these changes is the increase in global warming, greenhouse gas emissions, smoke coming out from factories, deforestation, and the continuous burning of fossil fuels. These activities trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, causing global temperatures to rise.

The Philippines is vulnerable due to its geographic location in the Pacific Ring of Fire. This results in frequent natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, typhoons, and floods. Urban areas suffer from poor drainage systems, while other communities often lack in the structure of houses to withstand such disasters .

Despite these  challenges, Filipinos continue to show remarkable resiliency. People help each other during challenging events, many people find away to help each other people before helping themselves, that is the amazing personality of Filipinos.

Unleashing the Spirit of Sportsmanship: Intramurals 2025

Every school year brings moments of challenge, fun, and unity, but nothing quite captures all three like Intramurals. This year’s Intrams 2025 was more than just a sports competition; it was a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit.

Held over a vibrant week, the entire school campus came alive with cheers, team colors, and the undeniable energy of students competing, not just for trophies, but for pride and camaraderie.

The Intrams officially kicked off with a colorful parade of teams representing different grade levels and houses. Dressed in their respective colors, students marched with pride while the drumline set a rhythmic pulse that echoed the excitement in the air. The torch lighting ceremony, symbolizing unity and fair play, marked the start of a thrilling week, we cheered our classmate Jillian for the miss intrams we shout loud supporting her we are so happy that she won, well deserved.

During the intrams we RCYC officers have a task to medics players if there is an injury, we enjoyed watching the players play, we also helped a lot of players that were injured. That was my experience of the intramurals 2025.
